30!!!!!!!!

The day is here...I am finally 30 years old. Blah...no more excuses for not being completely responsilble. Along with turning 30, comes credibility. Or so I have been told over the past few days leading up the the dreaded 3-0. But it will be filled with celebration. Last night Jason and I went to Lake Lanier to drive around the "Holiday Nights in Lights". Complete with a Live Nativity and at the end a bonfire to roast marshmellows and make schmores and a holiday village to walk through. It was fun. Tonight is my party at the tavern. I hope everyone can make it regardless of the weather. Sean is making me a pumpkin cheesecake. YUM! This morning my boss had the house decorated and they had made me brownies. They sang Happy Birthday and my gifts from them were a magnet that said: Goddess (formerly Princess). Entirely appropriate and also a gift card to Macy's for $150. I've already spent some of it! I got new boots (soft leather, really tall, knee high) and a new red silky shirt with sequins. Tomorrow I have the day off so I can recover from tonight's party. Then tomorrow night I am going in town to celebrate with my sister and possibly LeAnne. On Saturday my parent's are taking Jason and me to Spaghetti Factory for the traditional "Jessica's birthday dinner". Then Jason and I are going to go to the casino to play Black Jack. Lots of plans to help me ease into my 30's. Ok I am off to get Kathryn from school. We are going to Lenox to have lunch and ride the pink pig. I feel happy today. And I thought I'd be depressed. Not yet!

Spoiled!

On Saturday, Jason took it upon himself to spoil me all day! First he took me to lunch at Chili's. Which was nice and also while we were there I saw an old friend of mine bartending. Alison. She used to bartend at the one off 14 but now she is down at the one in Alpharetta. So that was cool. Then we went to the mall and he bought me a new watch and a "board" game I've been wanting. Then we went and looked at houses. After that he took me to Starbucks to get a Chai. Then we went back to my house and played games and watched movies. It was a nice day. On another note, the countdown has officially started. I will be 30 in 10 days. There are 3 days of "festivities" planned to help me celebrate! Thursday the 15th, my actual birthday, will be party night at the tavern. I have Friday off work so Jason and I are going to do something (he hasn't told me yet) then Saturday it's the traditional Spaghetti Factory with the fam and Jason. The song "Final Countdown" is appropriately stuck in my head!
